Principal's Letter

Dear BCE Family Members,
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 13, is our last restructured day of the school year. Students in grades 1 through 5 will be dismissed at 12:50 p.m.
A couple of weeks ago, vandals broke into the two sheds on the upper playground sometime after BINGO night and before softball in the morning. Thank you to the families who picked up materials scattered on campus. Also, I want to especially thank Delle Townsend and Dave Marquis for coming to the rescue and repairing the broken doors.
The slides on the upper playground have been blocked off until further notice. There are safety concerns about some of the seams and our Director of Maintenance is in communication with the company. The slides will reopen after we have done the repairs.
Last chance for a yearbook. Every year, we have disappointed families and students who decide that they want a yearbook during the last week of school and we do not have extras. Do not be one of those families. There are only about 30 yearbooks still available for pre-purchase. Cost is $20 and one can be ordered through the office.
Family surveys will be online in the near future. Please take the time to complete one. We have used the results of the survey last year to make some changes, especially in the area of electronic communications.
We have received a plea from the Parent Club to please return any unsold Raffle Tickets to the office ASAP.
Don’t forget the Book Fair this week!
