Principal's Letter

Dear Family Members,
The last day of school is Thursday, June 11th. Kindergartners are out at the usual time. All 1st-5th graders are dismissed at 12:10 PM. Please make plans to pick students up early. Yearbooks should be handed out on June 10th.
If you missed them, the Open House and Carnival last week were fantastic. We had 100% family participation in many classes during Open House. As I visited classrooms, I was impressed by the quality of student writing,
Please join me in saying “goodbye” and “thank you” to four of our treasured staff members. Ms. Rebecca Cress is leaving us for the wilds of SLVMS, Mrs. Rouff and Ms. Muirhead were the unlucky recipients of lay-off notices. We wish all three of them the best of luck in their future endeavors and thank them for their dedication and hard work in educating our children. We also say goodbye for now to Mrs. Marilyn Robustelli, who has been a valued employee of SLVUSD since 1974. In her tenure, Mrs. Robustelli has worn many hats that supported the education of San Lorenzo Valley students. Most recently, she has worked behind the scenes as our Projects Coordinator. She is the woman responsible for organizing our Site Council meetings and School Site Plan, publishing BEAR TRACKS, running our assessment program, monitoring students in our Title One programs, and paying attention to many small details that help our school run smoothly and move forward. She has spent 35 years of her life in dedicated service to the students of Boulder Creek. Thank you, Marilyn.
Please pick up any lost and found items before 3 PM on Tuesday, June 9. Remaining items will be donated to charity.

The first day of school for the 09-10 school year is Tuesday, August 25.
Conferences are scheduled for November 10, 12, 13, 16 & 17.
Early out days (12:50 PM) 1st and 3rd Wed of almost every month:
- September: 2nd and 16th
- October: 7th and 21st
- November: 4th
- December: 2nd
- January: 6th and 20th
- February: 3rd and 17th
- March: 3rd and 17th
- April: 21st
- May: 5th and 19th
- June: 2nd
