BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT SCHEDULE Thursday, September 4, 2008
5:30 p.m. - 7:10 p.m.
Grades 4 & 5 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in classrooms
Grades K, 1, 2, 3 6:40 p.m. - 7:10 p.m. in classrooms
SDC Class 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in classroom
Be sure to visit Resource/Literacy Specialist (room #16), Speech (room #14)
Dear Parents,
Back-to-School Night is an important event that is designed by teachers to give parents specific information about this year's curriculum and special activities. In addition, teachers will share their expectations, assessment practices, homework, and behavior policies. I know the staff is anxious to meet you and have the opportunity to discuss the challenging year that awaits your child!
If you have specific concerns about your child, please make arrangements with his or her teacher for a private conference. Please do not bring your children to Back-to-School Night. Open House, which will be held on May 28, is an event designed for the whole family. During Back-to-School Night additional parking will be provided at St. Michael's Church and on the lower playground.
The YMCA will provide free childcare on the lower playground from 5:30 - 7:10 p.m. Please check in with the YMCA staff near the sand area. If your child attends, please discuss with him/her that school playground rules will apply during this time.
